I can say this is the easiest chicken nuggets recipe you can find online. My son was watching me making it and said “is that it?” as he could not believe how simple it was 😂
These chicken breast nuggets are crunchy yet soft and juicy inside. Just remember not to overcook as it will make them dry. I truly found these tastier and more satisfying than the store-bought nuggets. Plus, it really fills you up in fewer calories.
Tip: add some paprika on the breadcrumbs to enhance the color. I forgot to do that and so the nuggets look a bit too plain.
How these chicken nuggets are healthy
These chicken nuggets are made using the actual chicken breast which is the leanest part of the chicken. Chicken breasts are lower in fat which makes it a healthy choice.
They are not made using processed meat as most of the store-bought ones are.
We are oven baking the nuggets instead of deep frying in oil.
This is a protein rich meal. In this meal, you are getting about 40g of protein in less than 400 calories per serve.

Serve these chicken breast nuggets warm. They are best to have with ketchup, barbeque sauce, and hot chilli sauce. Kids love this.

Healthy Chicken Breast Nuggets Recipe
Ingredients
- 300 g chicken breast
- 1 piece egg
- 60 g breadcrumbs
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp paper
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Collect all the ingredients. Cut the chicken breast into nugget-size pieces as in the picture.
- Season the chicken with salt, paper, and lemon juice. Mix them well and put aside.300 g chicken breast, 1 tsp salt, ½ tsp paper, 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Crack the egg in a bowl. Add the olive oil. Whisk until it thickens.1 piece egg, 1 tbsp olive oil
- Dip each chicken piece in the egg bowl first and then roll them in the breadcrumbs. Then put them on a baking tray with baking paper on it.60 g breadcrumbs
- Bake them in the pre-heated oven on 180℃ / 355℉ for 20 minutes. Remember to turn them after 10 minutes. Enjoy the healthy homemade nuggets with your favourite sauce.
